How Indiana State Track Qualification Works
Indiana runs a single-class state meet for track — one open division for boys and one for girls — governed by the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). The state meet is held at North Central High School in Indianapolis each June.
Athletes qualify through a four-tier postseason: sectional → regional → semi-state → state. Boys and girls run their state meets on separate days. With no classifications, every athlete in the state competes for the same titles, which gives Indiana’s state meet a uniquely deep field.
IHSAA publishes per-year tournament pages on ihsaa.org with results from every postseason round. Below: every state meet, 2022–2025, boys and girls.
Full Meet Results
IHSAA hosts a tournament page per year per gender that links to results from the State Finals as well as earlier rounds (sectionals, regionals, semi-state). Click into a page to drill into your athlete’s round.
