How North Dakota State Track Qualification Works
North Dakota has two classes for state track — Class A (larger schools) and Class B (smaller schools) — governed by the North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA). The combined state meet rotates between Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks, and Minot each May, with both classes running together over a single weekend.
Athletes qualify through their region meet → state. North Dakota’s small population means qualifying happens quickly — one regional layer feeds straight to state for both classes.
NDHSAA archives state meet results on its NDHSAANOW.com platform. Recent years (2024, 2025) use a single combined results document covering all classes and both genders; earlier years split by class and gender. Below: every state meet, 2022–2025.
