How Missouri State Track Qualification Works
Missouri has five classifications — Class 5 (largest schools) through Class 1 — governed by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). All five classes hold their state championships at Adkins Stadium at Jefferson City High School over the same weekend in late May.
Missouri runs district → sectional → state qualifying. Each class has its own districts and sectionals, with the top finishers advancing. Because all five classes converge at Jefferson City, the venue runs continuously over the championship weekend.
MSHSAA delegates state meet results to MileSplit Missouri. Below: every MSHSAA state championship from 2022–2025 — five per-class meets per year, both genders covered at each.
